Registration is now open for the Spring 2023 Semester of acting classes beginning April 1st at
The Academy at SHADOWLAND STAGES
Classes are held on eight consecutive Saturdays, with a final showing for each class on the final day.
Class times, appropriate ages and descriptions are below.
Registration early as SPACE IS LIMITED.
The total price will be $125.00 per student per class.
Enrollment is on a first-come / first-served basis. The balance of tuition will be due on the first day of attendance.
THEATRE CLASSES for 6 to 11 year olds
Teacher: Eliza Fichter
Through games and exercises, students are introduced to imaginative play, collaboration, ensemble building skills, and the foundations of storytelling and improvisation.
Level 1 – 9am to 10am – 6 to 8 year olds
Level 2 – 10:10am to 11:25am – 9 to 11 year olds
THEATRE CLASS Level 2 for 12 to 18 year olds
Teacher: Brittany Proia
Students will learn to act moment to moment with honesty through improvisation, sensory exercises, and scripted work.
Level 3 – 11:35am to 12:50pm – 12 to 14 year olds
Level 4 – 2pm to 3:15pm – 15 to 18 year olds
DANCE FOR THEATRE for 7 to 13 year olds
Teacher: Haley Kwak
In addition to theatre classes, a series of broadway style dance classes are available. Dance classes are on Saturdays in adjacent time slots to the acting classes. Sign up for Acting and Dance and recieve a $25 discount (more information below). The class schedule is:
Dance 1 ages 7 to 11 – 11:40 am to 12:40pm (1 hr)
Dance 2 ages 12 to 18 – 12:50 pm to 1:50pm (1 hr)

Two students from the same family = $225 (save $25)
Three students from the same family = $300 (save $75)

Referral Discount:
Please note there are no referral discounts offered for the fall semester.
As the Academy grows, the need for scholarships also increases as many local children cannot afford the modest tuition. To date, the program has found donors to sponsor 3 students each semester. Just 10 additional scholarships per semester would allow us to move everyone off the waiting list.
