ADULT ACTING CLASSES
TUESDAY EVENINGS from Sept 26th to November 14th
There are TWO sections of Adult Acting Class this semester.
1) Adult Acting Lvl 1 Classes occur on Tuesday evenings from 5 to 6:55 PM at the Studio at SHADOWLAND STAGES (14 Market Street at the corner of Center St) for 8 consecutive weeks. The cost is $150.
- The Adult Acting Lvl 1 Class will be an opportunity to stretch artistic muscles, get in touch with your sense of play/imagination, drop into your body/voice, focus on active performances, and do scene work.
2) Advanced Scene Study Classes occur on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 PM at the Studio at SHADOWLAND STAGES (14 Market Street at the corner of Center St) for 8 consecutive weeks. The cost is $150.
- Enrollment in Advanced Scene Study is at the discretion of the instructor. Please email ben@shadowlandstages.org if you are interested in registering.
For both classes, please pay tuition online in advance of your first class and bring the completed registration form (downloadable below) with you.

INSTRUCTOR
JESSE CARREY-CHAN
Jesse Carrey-Chan is a cross-disciplinary performer, choreographer, director, story consultant, and user experience designer based in New Paltz, NY. He is a co-founder of Rebis, an immersive experience company based in New York City. Jesse is also a Co-Founder of North Star, a coaching and workshopping service for early to mid career writers, which applies tech world-inspired methodologies to the creative process of new script development.
Most recently, Jesse has been an immersive performer on tour with The Macallan Manor as well as with Mycotoo’s immersive activation with Netflix’s The Irishman set in Little Italy, NYC. Favorite credits include: Neil Kellerman in the Equity National Tour of Dirty Dancing, Jim Young in the world premiere of The Gift of the Magi (Arkansas Rep), Gerard Malanga in Pop! Who Shot Andy Warhol? starring Anthony Rapp and choreographed by Billy Porter, and understudy for the lead role of Drac Frenzie in the Off-Broadway production of Attack of the Elvis Impersonators.
