2022 SUMMER THEATRE INTENSIVE – August 15th – 20th

Enrollment is now open for the Summer Theatre Intensive for youth. The week-long Summer Theatre Intensive for kids 9-18 is an opportunity for students to learn acting, movement, and theatre-making skills with professional teachers and performers. At the end of the week, students will perform what they’ve learned in a showing for friends and family.
Classes will be Monday, August 15th – Saturday, August 20th and will run from 9am to 1pm.
This includes one snack break – kids should each bring their own snack each day.
To participate, students will need to have a zero balance for last semester prior to registering and must register (with a $50 deposit). Currently, you may register by downloading the application below and sending it in by mail with payment by check or pay online using the credit card form below, and drop off your registration form or bring it with you to the first class.

Refer a friend who enrolls for the first time and save $25 on your own enrollment.

PLEASE NOTE: The online payment form will ask your student’s age – this is only in order for us to gain a better advance understanding of our enrollees. ALL STUDENTS (regardless of age) will attend the summer intensive from 9am to 1pm on each of the days.
MEET OUR NEW EDUCATION COORDINATOR!
Brittany Proia (she/her) is thrilled to join the SHADOWLAND STAGES team as Education Coordinator. Brittany also serves as the Executive Director of Hudson Valley Performing Arts Laboratory – a women+ led devised theatre and arts education organization, Dramatists Guild Ambassador for Eastern New York – providing support and education to the regions playwrights, co-founder of Dead Horse Productions LLC – a company created to responsibility and sustainably create theatrical work that fosters lasting social change, and works as an instructor at the State University of New York at New Paltz. From 2017 to January 2020, Brittany served as the founding co-artistic director of DENIZEN Theatre in New Paltz, NY producing 9 full productions and 30+ readings and events. Brittany has assisted in the development of new work with MTF, The PiTCH at Rev Theatre Co, NYMF, BMI MT Workshop, and the Voices of Women Theatre Festival in Tampa. Brittany holds an MFA from the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training and a Bachelor of Music from NYU’s Steinhardt School. She is a proud member of AEA, the Dramatists Guild, a graduate of the Ulster Leadership Development Institute, and a proud ‘key’- of The Ring of Keys; a national network of queer women, trans, and gender non-conforming artists.
