Told from the perspective of six young women who come of age during this enigmatic decade, BEEHIVE is a musical revue that highlights the music of the 1960s with songs like “Proud Mary”, “Me and Bobby McGee”, “A Natural Woman,” “To Sir With Love”, “Son of a Preacher Man”, and many, many more!

Director
BRITTANY PROIA (Director) (she/her) is entering her 2nd year at SHADOWLAND STAGES as the Managing Director after serving as the organization’s Education Director in 2022. In addition to SHADOWLAND, Brittany works with arts organizations across the Hudson Valley including – the HV Performing Arts Laboratory, Catskill Mountain Shakespeare, the State University of New York at New Paltz, is the Dramatists Guild Ambassador for Eastern New York, and served as a founding co-artistic director of DENIZEN Theatre in New Paltz (2017 – 2020). She has assisted in the development of new work with New Georges, MTF, The PiTCH at Rev Theatre Co, NYMF, BMI MT Workshop, Powerhouse Theatre, the Voices of Women Theatre Festival, etc. Recent directorial credits include – ROMEO & JULIET translated by Hansol Jung, CYMBELINE translated by Andrea Thome, and EVERYBODY by Brandon Jacobs Jenkins at the State University of New York at New Paltz. As a performer Brittany was most recently seen at the Great River Shakespeare festival in ALWAYS…PATSY CLINE (Patsy and Music Director) and TWELFTH NIGHT (Feste and composer). MFA from the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training and a Bachelor of Music from NYU’s Steinhardt School, member of AEA, the Dramatists Guild, a graduate of the Ulster Leadership Development Institute.
CHOREOGRAPHER
ANDREW GELLER KARL (Choreographer) is a Director, Professor (Marist/DCC), and Arts Administrator (B&GCNNY) from Beacon, NY. In 2012, Andrew started The Mimesis Theatre Project; a company that devises nontraditional musicals. Andrew’s work has been seen at Dixon Place, Flushing Town Hall, 92NY, JAGFest, The Cape Rep Theatre, Millbrook Playhouse, and The New London Barn Playhouse. Andrew holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College and an MA in Arts Administration from Baruch College. All my love to Kory, Ninoy, and my biological/chosen family!
