US Army Captain Jack Ludwig begins writing to Louise Rabiner, an aspiring actress in NYC, hoping to meet her someday if WWII allows. But, as the war continues, it threatens their relationship before it even starts.

This joyous and heartwarming tale is told through the letters of the playwright’s parents. The results are anything but expected.

Stephen Nachamie^ (Director) is excited to make his SHADOWLAND STAGES debut!  Stephen is an award-winning stage and film director currently developing new works for the stage and screen. On Broadway, Stephen was Associate Director for the Tony-winning Broadway Revival of She Loves Me at Studio 54 (PBS Great Performances & Broadway HD). Pow!, Jersey Christmas (w/ Ben Rauch & co-prod. Melissa Rauch).  He began his career in New York theatre while in high school as a PA for the final year of the original Off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors. Stephen is on the faculty of New York Film Academy, and is a proud member of SDC. Stephen would like to dedicate these performances to those who have served our country – and to the memory of his grandfather, Dr. Irving Nachamie who served as a Captain in the US Army Medical Corps in India in World War II, and in memory of his father Dr. Benjamin A. Nachamie who served as a Captain in the US Army Medical Corps and was stationed in Fort Riley Kansas  from 1966-1968.
